what do YOU consider a "Ricer?"

That see through yellow hood-ed car is actually pretty sweet. I think the very first definition on this thread sums it up the best. I am of the opinion that RICE is even more of a state-of-mind and attitude than anything else.
As this thread shows, ricer is a term that has been muddied by opinions (and we know what those are like!) bottom line it originally started out as a car that looks fast because of ridiculous mods, the owner usually has a complex, and they do not do any of the work themselves - most of the times this can be attributed to have more money than you know what to deal with. The reality is that it only looks fast, but is not really.
I know that my car right now is a ricer, but I bought it that way not because of the look, but because of the potential as a fun project that perhaps I could pass on to one of my kids who will be turning 16 (oldest will be in 3 years). However, I do happen to like some of the body mods and whatnot, but I definitely do not have the ricer personality or attitude - I have never raced and even after I get it to a respectable performance level I still will not race unless it is on a track somewhere. I have kids and responsibilities and am really using this as an outlet for a somewhat meaningful hobby.
If that makes me a ricer in the end, then I will buy the shirt and sport it proudly, but I could really care less, I mean...it is a car...deal with it. Too many people take like and the things therein waay to seriously. Seriously...
