the meaning of rice really differs from the car you drive. but we all do agree that when we look at a car we can easily comment "now that is rice" or "is that really necessary, thats overdone".

heres a question for you guys.

we all agree that body kits are rice. Agreed?
Does that mean body kits on a Toyota Celica is rice?

according to celica forums/ owners they are not rice they prefer body kits over lip kits on their celicas but they do think body kits on civics are ricey. They also like lambo door kits and even though their hood scoops came stock they like raised hood scooops as well.

My buddy used to have a 00 Celica with a blitz body kit.. Jeeeezus... that was rice. The entire interior was painted white/blue.. Man... those were the days LOL

Body kits... unless on a show car and done 100% right... are rice IMO

I'm not saying they are necessarily rice, I just mean I think they look a little ricey.

Hood scoop, ugly body lines, funky headlights...

who ever even invented this whole stereotypical ricer thing? to call a certain looking car a ricer?! i loveee it! well i guess its like saying, when you see a certain looking truck, you assume a mexican drives it.. rather racist for people to stereotype such things, but its sadly so true..

I think a ricer car and a ricer personality are two separate things that just happen to often go hand in hand. A ricer car would be one that looks ricey (as defined earlier), and a ricer personality would be someone who acts like a ricer (as defined earlier).

I don't consider a person a ricer just because of how their car looks without first witnessing their personality, but it does lead you to believe they will probably be a ricer when you meet them (since they usually are). A car can look ricey without the owner being a ricer, but to me that's a shame, because you'd like to see people who have a good attitude build a clean car and not a gaudy one.

I am not saying people who drive those Celicas are ricers, I am saying I think that generation Celica looks a little bit ricey and it's surprising that Toyota made that car look that way from the factory. It obviously could be A LOT worse, I am just saying it looks pretty ricey for a stock car. I am just not a fan of the style of that car.

my friend bought a 95 dx hatch w/ a jdm B16 swap. car was big time ricey with the wide bodykit on. so he took it off and made the whole body stock himself. he did a real nice job bein his first time on body work. he even took dents off that it had.

What a piece of rice, the cool yellow interior is chipping off, has a giant rpm gauge even though the cluster has one, and that totally cool H on the hood. Hahaha, this car made me laugh. Not even worth the $2700 he wants.
Did nobody else notice he used the term "drifter" to describe that car? Silly ricer, FWD can't drift.
