So wheels, a lip kit, type-r style parts, etc. don't belong on civics?

Gotcha on semantics

Wheels aren't necessarily race inspired. You see, wheels are on every car.

Gotcha on semantics

Ah, but cars already come with wheels, and changing them out for aftermarket wheels will make no noticeable difference in braking, acceleration, or handling on a street-driven car. Since there's no difference besides looks, changing the wheels out would be ricey.

Your move.

Exactly, they are already there. You never said aftermarket wheels, you just said wheels.

^ True, but there wasn't the intention to make it looks like it goes fast, or look obnoxious. If they did look fast/obnoxious, the yes it is ricey.

According to the picture apoplectic, wheels are "rice".

However, wouldn't wider wheels help with traction etc? This is also when you walk the fine line of opinions on rice. IMO, a type R style lip kit is not rice, however, can be deemed rice since we are technically trying to make the car look like a type R, when it is not. It all depends on the person's mindset.

Also, as along as YOU know that the car is NOT a type R, and the lip kit (etc) is not adding any benefit to your car, then it is not rice. But what about those people who know that euro tails do not add any benefit to a car, and just like the way the lights look? Same thing, right? hmmmm... I am starting to believe "rice" is totally a mindset thing. As long as you don't think those stick on fender vents add any benefit to the vehicle, and you like them, who cares?

"If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck"
