That. When I put the stock 14's back on to sell the car it seriously dropped the car about another inch. Also, it was slightly higher the second time I lowered it (one summer I got the GCs and slammed the living f*ck out of it, took the coilovers off because I figured I was going to sell the car, ended up keeping it and putting the coilovers back on with a slightly more conservative stance). I'll see if I can dig up a half-decent pic of it slammed the first time around. I know it was during the time I didn't have a working digital camera and had to take pics with my phone though, so don't expect professional-quality pics.

my body is still lower and my 13's with the tires are the same height as his 17's

And for anyone who's going to argue I didn't drive it tucking that much tire, I'm going to have to say I did. 20 miles from the garage I did the suspension at to my house. Luckily it was around 1 AM and there was no traffic, because making turns at intersections was pretty much me making a 20-point turn since I could only turn the steering wheel about 15 degrees before the tires started eating the fenders. That was the night I first put the GCs on, and I didn't have time to f*ck with the ride height because I had to hurry home.

Here's how I had the civic the first summer it was dropped (don't mind the skirts. They were sitting around the garage and I threw them on hoping they'd be close to even with the mugen lip. They weren't, but I rocked them for about a month before getting tired of them and taking them off):

And if you look carefully, you'll see the lowest part of the side skirt is actually lower than the lowest part of the wheel (which is actually illegal in most states lol). I DD'ed the car like that for a month. This is why I fail to sympathize with all the whiny little b*tches complaining about how they can't slam their cars because of road conditions. When it was sitting like this, I was driving around the back roads of western PA (I've been to NYC. NYC's roads have nothing on the sh*tty-ness of PA's back roads) scraping everywhere.

Also, I'd like to point out that grass pictures are cheating. Grass always makes a car look lower (provided the grass doesn't suck).

And just for sh*ts and giggles, I threw my old R34 front back on to see how low it was. 2" from the ground to the splitter (yes, I actually measured it). And before anyone asks, this bumper was on the car long enough to take the picture and measure it. Then it was back to the garage with the bumper and the stock one went back on.




*edit: and you're pretty much wrong on the tire size. Even with 205/40s, the rolling diameter is still almost a full inch larger than stock. The difference in size is marginally larger with the stock 13" wheels you have.

*edit #2: What the f*ck is up with your front lip? Also, as far as I'm concerned with drops, ground clearance isn't what you look at. You can make changes to make cars look lower. I look at how much tire is being tucked.

my front lip is the oem lip from my hatch made it fit on my sedan
