They're definitely cheap. My civic runs $1200/yr liability. My cbr600 is half that (literally) for liability.

Not trying to argue, but to me $1200 is a lot to be paying for insurance for just liability. My insurnace on my car is $1200/yr full coverage with 250 deductables and I think thats high.

Your quote is a little lower then mine was when I had a bike. If I remember right (this was back in 04-05) it was a little over 2k a yr just for liability. I am not certain if I was informed right but my understanding is that the insurance can fluctuate a lot on bikes because its based on the number of accidents with a particular bike and year. Maybe more people had accidents with a bike more like mine and thats why my insurance was so high?

basically, people will charge a lot more they're worth, because there's high demand for them

thanks man! 97 was the first time i went...man, you should go back, it's changed so much!
that's also what got me wanting a motorcycle so bad too..lol
