I'm with marty. If someone likes their vehicles I am not going to knock them even though I don't like them. My wife has a mazda, I can't stand mazda. I haven't driven the newer ones but the ones I have drove I didn not like at all. Daughter is driving a malibu slow as hell but other than that it is a very nice car. As long as YOU like your ride I will respect. Not everyone can afford $65,000 z06.

 

Actually I would take my civic over a vette anyday man. Also if someone were to give me a vette... I would sell it and build a civic... I love my Civics.

That's one of the reasons I don't go to this other forum any more. There's too much disrespect. So what if you like your altezzas and wings and body kits? (oh my!) It's your car and that's all there is to it. No one should hate on anyone else about something that doesn't really affect them. We're here to talk and learn and share stories about cars, not freak out because someone likes something you don't.

One of my closest girlfriends is totally and completely into domestic muscle cars. She knows so much about them, and a lot of her friends are into the same. You know what? We don't get into arguments all the time about imports vs. domestic. We're a tad bit more mature than that... I just wish other people would grow up, too.

 

I will say I am a fan of Honda and prefere the 88-00 civic platform but I will also say that I know without a shadows doubt in my mind if choose to put $3,000 to $4,000 into my F-Body it would be a beast and slap highly moded honda's around on the track. But there is just a certain thing about being able to throw a 2200lb car around in 90 degree turns.

I already go to fast....if I drove a vette I'd have to burn my license. Plus...a vette is way to much of an attention getter, I don't want that much attention/nor do I need it.[sm=gears.gif]

 

i view myself as a car guy, i have owned a variety of cars including a camaro, but i just like civics because tey are cheap and very reliable and so much fun to drive. but if i could get my hands on a corvette i would, just not any CEO mobiles (ie mercedes lexus and bmw) because i don't like luxery cars, or doors that open themselves on minivans (lazy americans)

 

i drove a vette once and it was nice, but i would stick to my civic over a vette any day. im more of an import guy and i would take an import over a domestic anyday. thats just waht i like, i dont go and bash people for what they like though. i would also sell a vette to mod a civic anyday.
