So since I have two other TXR games, and I enjoy them alot, especially considering the 20 dollar price tag, i ordered a copy of the new one...is anyone else into the series?

 

I have # 3...its a good game...no gran turismo....but a good game none the less.

 

it ha its downfalls, but for a game that is SO cheap...im pleased with them all.

 

I love the fact that each car litterally has THOUSANDS of upgrade possibilities. from bodykits (multiple types AND materials) to engine upgrades,to rims,to colors...its sick because you dont have to unlock anything..just get the cash!

 

the higher end stuff is locked...but the hardest part is getting the money, and finding the opponents...im not 100% on either game simply because some of them dont race. i really like that every opponent has a write up about him or her, plus specific driving styles, and some of the wanderers have requirements to run...

 

yeah...i dont like the requirements cuz 95% of the time i dont meet them....just like in real life [:@]

 

i found a copy of the first or second one at wallmart in a bin for $15 yesterday... but it was for PS2 and i have an Xbox.. oh well

 

thats what you get for having Xbox. the game gods punish you.

anyways..my copy of the new game is supposed to arrive tomorrow or tuesday...[8D]

 

I don't think I have heard of them what the full names of the games I want to look them up.

 

i think that there are three now...

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero (2001) - no model or brand names. the car are obvious as to what they are, with logos and all, but they didnt have licensing rights...so no names, but tons of cars, lots of appearance and performance mods

Tokyo Xtreme Racer Three (2003) - brand and model names, but alot more racing room..nice selection of cars, but less than the first one, i believe...still lots of mods


Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift (2006) - I know that there are brand and model names, and modifications...honestly, i would have settled for a cleaned up version of TXR3, with some different cars, tracks, etc.
