Fukc that sh!t

And I'm willing to bet it was blatantly speeding (ie, 20+ over the limit). When you're traveling about 65mph and the vehicles coming towards you are moving about the same rate, you can't tell if they're going +/- 5mph.

radar honey radar

reaper2022 07-04-2009 05:19 PM

Yeah, I had the laptop on standby with the thread open, got back on the comp and replied without refreshing to see if there were more replies.

And how did I fail? Because one of my points was technically incorrect? I honestly doubt 95% of the Highway Patrol officers on the road are going to take the time to turn around (or in some cases drift through the median apparently) and chase after your a** for doing 70 in a 65.

jprommel 07-04-2009 05:21 PM

dont worry your pretty little head over it.

- People that are online on the forum but offline on AIM.

reaper2022 07-07-2009 10:11 AM

-People that don't understand the concept of ninja mode. Unless I'm the only one that uses it :D

-Southern drivers up north that are scared of hitting deer and consequently drive 30 in a 55

-People that slow down to 10 below the limit when a LEO has someone pulled over on the side of the road. He's out of his car and already has someone pulled over. He's not going to run back to his car and chase your pathetic a** down because you're going the speed limit.

-People that don't merge tp the left lane when a LEO has someone pulled over on the right side of of a 4+ lane highway.

-People that don't merge to the left lane when someone is on the right shoulder (changing tire, doing who knows what, etc) on a 4+ lane highway

-When you're driving in a group with woman drivers and they b***h because you're going 75 in a 70 zone because it's "too fast"... then after you get gas you let them lead and they go 75 in a 70 zone.

-Shell gas. Josh will understand this one. F**k your nitrogen in your gas. Air is 78% nitrogen; my engine is already f**king getting nitrogen. All you're doing is diluting your gas to make money. My engine, which always sees brand-name 93 octane (it's tuned from premium, don't start the "you don't need to run premium" bulls**t) and synthetic oil, with its 69k miles does not need cleaned out, and if it did I'd seafoam it.

Oh? Could you quote the federal law? I assume, of course, it's a federal law since the way you stated it it doesn't vary from state to state. And by what percentage is it required by law to slow down, since highways vary in speed limits?

NIKE H34D 07-07-2009 11:45 AM

o.O And Their Off! lol

reaper2022 07-07-2009 11:51 AM

No we aren't since there's no argument. I just looked up the law. Josh is 50% right; every law I could find said you legally either have to slow down "considerably" (one place I found stated 20mph below the speed limit. So apparently if it's a 15mph residential zone and you come across someone pulled over by a LEO, you (assuming we take this law at face value) have to come to a stop, put it in reverse, and back away at 5mph) OR change lanes, should you be on a 4+ lane highway. Considering I clearly stated it was a 4+ lane highway I was referring to (go back and look. You can't ninja edit a post more than 60 seconds after posting it originally and it doesn't have an edit timestamp so logic would dictate I didn't edit it).

In other words, I win.

*edit: and for any smarta** that's going to say "you didn't say about changing lanes!"... -.- read the point I made below the "slow down" one.

Cyphen 07-07-2009 12:11 PM

-police officers that stand on the driver side of the person who he has pulled over on the highway/street.

-cops who complain about getting hit by a car when there standing on the driver side of the car they got pulled over on the freeway.

reaper2022 07-07-2009 12:34 PM

-The media. No news is good news. Unfortunately, delivering the news is a business, and bad news sells.

-The History Channel. Why? Because 75% of the shows on the network anymore are doomsday shows. The 2012 prophecy, doomsday theories, etc. And today I noticed they were showing a program called "The Crumbling of America". Because a few of the hundreds of thousands of bridges collapsing means they're all in disrepair. What I loved was the picture they showed of a road that had collapsed due to a sinkhole. Because, you know, that's the government's fault there's a sinkhole there, and a better infrastructure would prevent acts of god.

errr... we have deer too

reaper2022 07-07-2009 12:54 PM

Apparently deer aren't a big problem in Tennessee seeing as we were doing 30 in a 45. Then 30 in a 55. then 30 in a 45 again. then 35 in a 55. I'd assume fear of hitting a deer was the reason behind going this slow.

And I'm pretty sure PA has a bigger deer problem than FL lol

NIKE H34D 07-07-2009 01:00 PM

ZOMG that was an awesome smiley

I lived in Western Pennsylvania for damn near 20 years. Don't f**king lecture me about deer. My county is more or less nothing but farmland. I've seen my share of deer.

Kindly go f**k yourself you condescending a**hole.

Oh, and if I'm in that big of a hurry. I was driving with the two other people, not just behind them. I couldn't leave earlier since I had to wait for them to get ready. If you've ever spent 6 hours in a racing seat in a car with no cruise control, and your back and right thigh are cramped up beyond belief, you'd be irritated at going damn near half the speed limit too.

Yea. We only have ~800,000.

reaper2022 07-07-2009 01:43 PM

I'm not sure if the "yea" was sarcastic or not. I couldn't find current numbers, but in 2000 the estimate deer population in PA was 1,500,000*... and the population hasn't exactly been declining since then, either.

*number taken from the PA Game Commission's web site. I'd assume if anyone had an accurate estimate for the deer population in PA, it'd be the game commission.

trustdestruction 07-07-2009 01:46 PM

not sarcastic

Yea. We only have ~800,000.

Well you assumed, without knowing where I've lived my whole life, nor what I've regularly encountered while driving, that I "don't know" what it's like to have close calls with deer. Considering the definition of ignorant is "Lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact; unknowing", yes, I'd say your comments were quite ignorant. As far as being an a**hole, that's up to you; I have no clue how you act past what you type on the forums.
