ron, that would be a great idea... I know nothing about the mexican welfare system, if there even is one, but i have a feeling that it would not be as lucrative to milk the mexican system as it is to ours.

as to you stu, i dont believe it includes illegal immigrants, but even if it did your 1/7th of the illegal population plus the 17 percent of the legal population still is less than the 50% of reading's legal immigrants. i'm not going for sheer raw numbers here just percentage of the population.

The number I gave you was for the entire state, not Orlando. They are most concentrated in Orlando and Miami, so those cities would have a much higher percentage than the overall state.


P.S. your 17% number is from the year 2000. That's almost 10 years ago. These people multiply here like rabbits. That number is almost certainly MUCH higher now.

FL has ~7.5 times as many illegal immigrants as PA, and those illegal immigrants are concentrated mostly around Miami and Orlando. It is highly likely that Orlando has tons more illegal immigrants than Reading does, possibly capable of bringing the percentage of Hispanics in the area up to a much, much higher number if they were counted in the census.

Officially, Reading has a higher percentage. But unofficially, Orlando could potentially be right around the same. That is my point. We cannot know unless for sure someone figures out how many hispanic illegal immigrants are in each city, or finds demographics that include illegal immigrants.
