They found my car

the only reason i believe everyone is sayin that it deserves him right that the kid died is
because they never knew the kid to them its just some random kid who stole a car and wrecked it and died.. i'm not passing judgement saying that that is a fair punishment but it happened and thats that. for every decision/action we make or do there is always a reaction. its life. and for that kid stealing the car and runing from the cops and wrecking was a bad choice/decission he made and took that chance and lost.

I do have one question that still hasnt been answered!
do you get your car back(whats left) there might still be some good parts on it.
ive tried all night to see if i can find a story on this and have found nothing... do you know anymore info on this?

Wow. Never would have thought the death of the kid who stole my shat would incite such a heated argument.
Dudes dead. No ones opinions nor ideals will change this. Get over it.. lol. It simply doesn't matter.
And my car is THRASHED. I saved a cover for the bumper turn signal, and a corner light. Everything else is trashed. They are estimating his speed at the site at over 120. Smashed my motor, bent the tranny, and the tube frame we had built didn't hold for the crash. BUT - good news - the actual cage held for the most part. So had the seat been secured, he would have <possibly > lived.
I'm not even going to try to get anything out of it. Nothing is really worth the time and effort. I'm just going to have to build another one. Might just do a V8 build in my 97 b2300 first.

I cant find an article on it to save my life. For all we know however this guy may not have even been the person that stole the car or ran from the cops. Maybe the guy who stole it sold it to this person who decided to see how fast his new car went on country roads where he thought there wouldnt be any traffic to endanger. Granted he would have to be gulliable and maybe fell for some "pay now and get the car, I will find the title for you" scam. Im sure Punisher knows more about it than we all do but for the time being I can feel a little sorry for the guy.
BTW when he was ejected did he miss the dash completely or ...? I kinda want that SI cluster if its not shattered Unless you need it that is. Let me know!

I totally get what most people are saying in this thread, even though I don't agree with it. It's a very natural human emotional response that we all have to crime and criminals. We want to see everything in black or white with nothing in between. In reality, this never exists. I haven't said that this thief was a good person, but based on his one big fatal mistake (the only thing that I know about his life), I'm also not prepared to conclude that he was bad to the core and could not have eventually made some important contribution to society. I simply don't know and am at a loss to understand those who can be so sure of themselves on this matter.

Social Darwinism and Karma have both prevailed. While I am somewhat sad to hear that he was dead, that's just how it works. He was a dumbass. He stole your car, he drove way too fast, and he didn't know anything about the temporary welds in the car (which is still his fault for assuming an incomplete project car was safe to drive). When you make too many stupid mistakes, there can be severe consequences. I'm not saying he deserved to die, I'm just saying he made a bet with the devil and lost... it happens.
I am sad to hear that your car is trashed though.
Anyone else notice this trend of 96 Civic DX always siding with the criminal?
94civichatchback, i'm sorry to hear about the wreck. Also hits pretty close to home considering I live where it happened (Brevard). Drunk drivers **** me off... I don't understand why the hell they can't just stay off the damn road.
