i did a msd cap and coil on my civic so i stuck a breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley bolt so i could rotate the engine to see if my wires going to the coil would rub on the rotor inside the cap, well got everything all done and putback together but forgot the breaker bar was still on there, so i go to crank the car over and hear this really loud sound, it sounded like a basball bat hitting a window and shattering.... i look around like omg what did i do and then looked under the car and saw the breaker bar was wedged between the frame and still connected to the crankshaft pulley bolt[:@]

this is a classic I still can't really admit to*... but I must have missed tightening the lugnuts on my FR tire when I changed the rotor a few months ago. I drove it for a while before they worked their way loose but the car started bouncing like hell driving down the highway one day.
lucky it stayed on till I pulled over! ..no real damage to the lugs
*I'm still not positive that it was me.. there are a LOT of bored ghetto teenagers in my neighborhood
If we aren't talking automotive mechanics, I managed to drop a 2400 pound industrial battery about eighteen inches onto a factory floor one day. THAT was a boom!

well this has nothing to do with the civic but when i had a go-kart it was one wheel driven so the sproket and everything was on my side including the clutch and i had burnt the clutch and bought a new one and put it on, well i forgot to tighten it up and put the chain back on, and can you say bloody murder man 25 stitches on my left arm... the clutch came flying off straight into my arm! sucked major *****!
