with turbo and power everything!!!, that's what was listed on the window lol and he is asking $15000. Says he has over $8000 in it, but damn I thought zx's were hard to come by, but were a little cheaper than that.

They are. You're looking at $2-3k at most for a '90-ish N/A 300zx... the turbos go for a little more, but not $15k. The seller's probably one of those guys that try to sell a 10-year old civic for $12k because they spent a ton of money on mods... they don't realize that mods lower the resale value.

I was thinking about buying a 300ZX for a while in the winter. I emailed a whole bunch of sellers. My experiance was that 300ZX owner's have thier heads up thier asses for the most part. They think that since they have a Z, its a super rare and sought after car. People want 6K for thier N/A 300ZX which isn't even in that great of condition and even more for TT. The absolute max I would pay for a '90 300ZX is $3000 (TT or N/A). For me N/A or TT didn't really matter since the engine blocks are the same. I wanted to rebuild the engine anyway so I could just put in the TT then. The KBB value is around $3500 for N/A and $4000 for TT for a good condition car. Alot of these cars have been raced and abused and aren't in the best of condition. I was offereing $1500-$2000 (sometimes less, depending on condition). I wasn't really interested in buying the car, but if I could score a decent deal I would consider it. If you don't need a car right now, then you are at an advantage. There isn't much of a market for an 18 year old sports car. They aren't reliable and the only people who want them are going to make them into projects most likely. So not that easy to sell. There is this one Z thats been on Chicago Craig's List for like 6 months. Its an auto, so I was never interested.

This is the same way I feel about people with 92-00 civic's for anymore than $4000 but a 300Z TT pulls a premium just like a 99/00 SI, just like a 2nd gen GS-X or GST Eclipse. There are followings for all these cars that make it so people can sell them for retarded amounts of money so they charge it.
