Skiers/Snowboarders?

RE: Skiers/Snowboarders?
its up north ish...i think its only forty five minutes south of Boyne Mountain (if you know where that is).
theres two places around here...timber ridge is about a 20 minute drive away and bittersweet is prolly around 45 mins to an hour. i go to timber ridge a lot more than bittersweet. its closer and cheaper. and considering the fact that in my current state i have to rent skis...i prefer the better rental skis...which are at timber ridge.
i wish i could afford new skis [&o]

Bittersweet is the one i was thinking of, although i don't know why i thought it was in KZoo. And yeah, i defintely know where the Boyne's are. My girlfriend is from Petoskey, and i used to go there all the time back in the day before i discovered Searchmont.
Well **** man, we'll have to go tear up the slopes this winter!

I really can't wait for this year. I think I'm gonna teach again (possibly) free seasons pass, can't beat that. Plus I can get new boots and claim them on taxes as work uniform hehe. Yo if anyone is up for a ski trip this year keep me in the loop, I'm always down for better slopes than the icey PA slopes. I really need to get my skis tuned before I head out this year.

I'm from Alabama. The first time I'd seen decent snow in my entire life was last winter after I moved up here to be with Chim. No snow sports for me. I much prefer the redneck sports, such as "Ride the Shopping Cart Through Wal-Mart's Parking Lot", "How Deep Is That Mud?", and everyone's party favorite, "Hey, Y'all, Watch This!!" (Usually the last game most Southerners ever play).

this year the girl is down in guelph, about 2 hours from me
When I was in school we got a sweet deal on the skiing/snowboarding class, basically we got an evening lift pass once night a week for 8 weeks, it was cheap, and we got credit for it! Hmm... now that I'm full time staff I wonder if I can get the same deal......

but I can be in Vermont in about 5 hours

At home I'm no more than an hour from about four pretty big resorts and two/ 2.5 hours from VT.
It pays to live in the woods in the middle of a mountain range.
Windham Mountain(where I ususally go)... 45 mins = 1,500 foot base, 3,100 foot peak (1600 foot drop), 2 mountains, terrain park, half pipe, million and a half lifts, 42 trails
Belleayre Mountain... 45-60 mins = 1404 foot drop, two mountains, **** load of trails, pain in the *** lift system.
