Skiers/Snowboarders?

RE: Skiers/Snowboarders?
I live to snowboard! My goal this year is to get sponsored, I will go everyday, all day if i have to.
As you can see from the pic I ride a GNU board. Then i got Ride Bindings (so ****in' bad ***), and Forum boots.
You guys remember those "Flow" bindings from back in the day? I had a set of those and loved 'em. Step in, flip up the back, and go.. Had to sell them tho cause they weren't big enough to accomodate my new boots

Forty, how are the mountains in Michigan?
Forty, how are the mountains in Michigan?
I dunno, I guess they're alright. I think the highest one in MI is like 600ft. But when I lived in Sault Ste. Marie we used to drive about 45 minutes up into Canada to Searchmont Resort, which is if i remember correctly, 750+ft. Plus it has two mean *** snowboard parks, and a double black diamond "backwoods run" that would blow your mind. So yeah thats about the best we have around here. Now, in Grand Rapids, it REALLY sucks. The local place is probably 200ft, and B O R I N G as hell. I have more fun finding random hills and building my own gap. Thats what we did in the picture above (hence the school in the bg). I like just having sessions on stuff like that, and walking back up the hill. Its decent excercise too.
How are they out your way?

The closest mountain around here is about a half hour drive from here, 1200' vertical drop. There are a few smaller resorts south of Buffalo, I go out there sometimes for variety.... but I can be in Vermont in about 5 hours, I had a friend in school whose parents had a timeshare in a condo at Killington and we used to go out there for spring break.

damn, i'm jealous
by 1200 drop do you mean the run is 1200ft, or the elevation is 1200. I assume you mean elevation cause our local hill has a 1500ft run that they actually have the nerve to boast about[:@]

RE: Skiers/Snowboarders?
i havent been for a wile, girl friend and work took up all my time for the last 2 years..but this year the girl is down in guelph, about 2 hours from me..so im gunna try to go quite a bit this year, but im also trying to save money for the car..so we'll see, but i got all new stuff less then 3 years ago, almost a grand worth (happy for end of seasion sales!), only used them a couple time so its perfect condition, cant wate to get out..i got option board, burton binding and ride boots, actually is funny i saw this here, today at college we have this thing called jib fest, they set up a rail with a big drop in, bring in lots of snow, beer tents, and lots of sponsers for it, then they have a compitition for ski-ers and snowboards for best trick...i got to check it before i go
