well...I gotta admit it's a bad *** car...I hated the way it behaved, but loved the power and the 6-speed tranny...the car spun the wheels twice in first and second....one at launch and another at 6Krpm when the secondaries flip open... The car however is violent in the way it gets the power to the ground. It looked like the 6-speed is not an LSD tranny, if it was I'd be quite surprised...overall I wouldn't buy the car, but I would definitly race it...

they seem like fast cars, me and my buddy blew past one on a strech of road once in is accord, then at the lights the guy in the SE-R cought up and squeeld he tires made a turn a drove off lol...but ya they are nice cars, i like them alot

 

I had one next to me today keeping hi revs like hw wanted my attention. I knew the Si would eat him alive but I didnt do anything. But yes, they are a fast *** car.

Since ive got the si, ive noticed a ton of attention from people. I had a guy in a very well done HX coupe staring the car down and desperatley trying to get me to look at his. Although i had the dark as window up and I wasnt really trying to give him food for thought.

 

^ Remmy i would be careful... with all this new attention with the new car, you dont want any "bad" attention comming your way...


And the SER's are nice, i know a guy with one, it is a nice car... bhut i dont think i would buy one... i heard that the engines are that good for ware and tear

 

I looked at one when I was thinking about getting my Si and really didnt like the way the looked. I deffinately think I made the right choice.

 

With the right modding, a SE-R can be a pretty quick car. It weighs next to nothing, has a decent trans and handles ok. Keep in mind this is a low end car - even lower than the Civic IMO. The only thing that blows is the gas milage - which I guess you don't care about if you want speed.

 

I've heard that they have a tendency to break under a lot of heavy driving. I'll have to look up the article again, but it had something to do with pieces of the intake mani being sucked into the motor. The car was on my list of possibilities before I snatched up my civic..

 

I was actually looking into one a while ago. Its body just doesnt sit right with me. Its not agressive looking at all.

 

the one I drove is on it's third engine...and umm...that intake mani is partially plastic and I can see how it could disintegrate....
