Do they still make those? What about the MR2 Spyder? I've always wanted to drive one. I think its one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest mid-engine car you can get. It looks like they run in the $8000-$18000 range. Its a 4-cylinder engine with 138HP and 125 torque which is pretty low but I the car is pretty light at 2200lbs.

No they don't make them anymore, but he could probably find one for a good price. The MR2's are good cars as well. and are VERY nimble

I think a nice setup would be an MR2 with a turbo or supercharger. I think the Elise uses a Toyota 4 cylinder engine.

yupp, thr elise dose use a toyota engine....
altho i think they use a supercharger version of it...
or maybe thats just in the Exige version.....whatever

anyways, back to the topic....
the TC are kinda nice, but im only saying that cuz ive never actually seen one.. we dont get them up here in canada..... only the boxes....

um, what about a skyline??lol
and the Tc's are pretty much just a celica replacement....

come on over to the dark side... get a mazda3!! lol
oh, and i go with a MR2... can u say drift??
or what about a MR-S??

I like the scion TC its pretty nice in my opinion, and I like how open the scion brand is to modification

+1 on the save up and get a new Si. Tc's look kind of nice, they have alot of options, but they don't cut it under the hood.

If I was in the market for a small, reliable car, I would definitely pick something RWD, such as miata or z3 (Z4 or m-roadster if you have money)
