the fastes super car around is a vett but not the one spoken off. the 88 callaway sledgehammer is the fastest car, necxt to that u have a few bugatti concepts and the twin the the s7, the chrysler me412 which would rape the s7 hands down. to quote one of the designers of the me412, they hit 210mph in there 5th gear. the me412 has 7.

the top car by power to weight is the TVR speed 12

oh....but there is still a car that owns all others.....ligenfelter vette 427 tt.

It is the craziest street legal car I've ever seen. Numbers don't lie.

0-60 - 1.97 secs
0-100 - 4.33 secs
1/4 mile - 8.95 @ 153
top speed - 240 (est)
skidpad - 1.01 g

I think the only thing that can be a little better is the skidpad. 1 g is pretty good, but for a car putting those kind of numbers it could be a little better
I know a guy with an NA Lingenfelter 427. He is running a little over 600hp at the rear wheels, like 750 at the flywheel. His is one of the few built off of the LS7. The car is a friggin' beast!

The Callaway was way too expensive to even be compared to the Lingenfelter. The Lingenfelter 427TT conversion wouldn't cost you more than $150,000 while the Callaway was closer to the price of the S7.

DCA, the 88 sledge was extremely fast for the time, but it didn't put up the kind of numbers the lingenfelter 427 tt does. I believe its 0-60 time was closer to the mid 3's, not sure about 0-100, but I know the 1/4 was over 10 and the price for it was close to $400k. The lingenfelter takes your regular $50k vette, charges you about $120k and makes it into a beast. I also like it cause its a complete sleeper, the only thing that would give away that it can do a sub 9 sec quarter is its fat tires and a small 427 CID badge.

uh....i said that the FASTEST car was the sledge. and that is the PRESENT day fastest car, not only for its time but now with a top speed of 254.7 mph. if you want to go by pure performace, the mc f1 is still the top super car

He's actually somewhat right. The Lingenfelter 427tt CANNOT go over 210mph unless it also has the wider rear tires, spoiler, and front lip spoiler offered by Lingenfelter. My friend that has just the NA 427 Lingenfelter received a call from them telling him not to exceed 210 due to the possibility that his car would flip.

I'll take a Bugatti EB16.4 before any of those cars.
did you know that the engine on those cars runs so rich that it achieves less than one mile per gallon. in order to measure the top speed, vw beetles had to refuel the car halfway through the run
