I knkow that saleen makes those fast mustangs but I have a q. This car goes 0-60 in under 3 seconds but it runs the quarter in over 10 seconds. Shouldn't a car like this being running 8's? http://www.saleen.com/saleen_s7_performance.htm

 

Mustangs are designed to make power down low. Aside from that most of the numbers given by saleen are a complete crock of crap. Ill believe that a non-supercharged mustang GT with better aerodynamics will run the same as an 03 Cobra when i see it with my own eyes. Saleen does offer one with a supercharger, but its still slower than the Cobra. All they have done to the mustangs is upgraded the suspension, put on a bodykit, and upgraded the aerodynamics. One time a salesman tried to tell me the Saleen Focus runs a low 11 second 1/4 mile. Eat **** Saleen. A stock FWD focus with a 75 shot WILL NOT RUN 11'S LET ALONE 13's.

[edit] Sorry, thought you were talking about the mustang. Im not sure if that is the true S7 times, but I wouldnt believe it knowing the times saleen claims. Also the numbers on their site are different than the ones they give at the shop so I dont know. Havnt really done much research on the s7, but I hear they have a killer suspension system on it, and that might account for its low 60ft time.

 

The s7 is true. It will eat an Enzo alive. It is the only production car that can go upside down. Believe it or not but its body is designed to keep it to the ground... then looks were applied to it. It also is only 44" off the ground... thats only as high as my chest. It is also custom tailored to you. I believe they run upper 300k to lower 400k. Not bad when an Enzo will run you 800k to 1.3 million.

And yes, the suspension is also insane. There is a 100 degree right turn in my town that you can go 40 mph round it legally... the s7 will polish it of at 70 without squeaking a wheel.

 

the saleen is a beautiful car...and it will smoke pretty much any car europe has put out

and remmington, last time someone bought one in the US it was for $400,100

 

saleen also builts the motor with forged internals, reflashes the ecu, puts pulleys on NA cars. or you can get the blown version. so there is a little more than suspension and a body kit.

I'll take a Bugatti EB16.4 before any of those cars. 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. Don't know the 1/4 time though, sorry!

 

the tt s7 runs 750 hp with 0-60 coming in 2.6 secs and 0-100 in 6 flat. 1/4 is 10.7 @ 136...that car is sick.....both appearance and performance wise

I think the only thing that can be a little better is the skidpad. 1 g is pretty good, but for a car putting those kind of numbers it could be a little better
