Rwd
So we had a little discussion start on another thread about Rear Wheel Drive. And to keep that thread on topic, I'm going to move our sub discussion to this one.
A thing mentioned on ther other thread, was handling differences in RWD and FWD. The FWD can handle just fine on its own. BUT, a FWD Can not setup for a hard corner by a slight drift. This is why you don't see FWD cars racing professionally<full track, not quarter mile>. Now, your RWD is able to pre-drift a corner to hit it hot, and still be in control. Also, if entering a corner too hot in a FWD, you have to slam the brakes, and turn hard, and hope to god you dont slam sand. As the RWD in the same situation can simply nudge the clutch while still on the gas, and start a nice controlled slide. He will lose less speed than the FWD would, and keep out of the cat box.
-Reaper, your always welcome to come visit OKC and go sideways with me and the boys. And I just noticed your new addition to your sig. When can we expect your new ride?

Thats right - because we are a Spanish based forum.
And what the hell does your post have to do with the subject at hand? If you must speak in spanish, at least keep it on topic, and not random as hell.

Nike owned himself when he posted that new sig. He's *fap*ing, and yet he hardly has to move his hand.
I joke I joke, I kid I kid.
AWD FTL.
The only win AWD has is on a straight line. Not very impressive if you ask me. AWD is not a forgiving platform at all. And talking about a hard car to control. I'd rather get around on my mountain bike than a damn AWD. At least I can make my mountain bike go exactly where I please.

No FWDs competing professionally?! You do know that there are other forms of racing besides NASCAR, right?

While I think RWD will always be better than FWD, I'm going to have to disagree on a few of your points, punisher.
As for the no FWD race car, there are plenty of professional race teams using FF cars. Take Spoon for example (yes, spoon also has S2k's, but they've raced civics for quite some time):
They also race a number of ITRs and TSXs, among others. I know there are plenty of other professional race teams that use FF cars, but this being a civic forum, Spoon is a great example.
Now, for the AWD only having its advantage in a straight line, that's just not true. While it is true that AWD cars tend to understeer, most performance-oriented AWD cars don't have a 50/50 power split. For example, the Lamborghini Murcielago is technically an AWD car, but the torque split is approximately 30/70 under normal driving conditions. The 2004 STI carried a 35/65 split, and in '05 it was switched to a 41/59. In other words, while the front wheels are pulling the car, the rear wheels receive more torque, making them predominantly RWD.
And OKC is a little far to drive just to get a little slideways. If I'm ever in the area I'll hit you up
And other than being at least a full inch lower than my ej1 was, I'm not sure. I really don't want to go crazy with the build until I have some money to waste.
