Hey, I have a bunch of holes in the sheetrock in my garage. Think those would be hard to fix?????????

Another easy fix!

Cut the hole so that the edges are clean (and halfway on the studs on each side), then taper the edges a bit towards the hole (to allow for some filler). Cut 2 pieces of 2x3 to fit between the studs and these will be screwed at the top and the bottom of the hole (with the edge of the drywall half on the 2x3). You can screws in the "toenailing" position, just don't use nails, or you might make some nails pop out from the banging with the hammer. Cut a piece of drywall to fit in the hole and taper the edges a bit on that also towards the edges (to allow for filler). With the new piece out of the hole, mix up some sheetrock 90 or similar filler and "butter" the edges, then put the piece into the hole and screw it down to the studs on the sides and the 2x3's on the top and bottom. Put some filler on your putty knife and fill in any cracks around the new piece, scraping it off so that it's flush with the wall. Put a piece of drywall tape or mesh over the crack and smooth it out with the putty knife, pushing it in towards the wall. Let it dry thoroughly!
Now you can use ordinary drywall filler (the premixed kind is best) and put a light coat on top and feather the edges out. Let it dry! Put another light coat of filler on and feather it out more. Each time you put on a coat of filler, you should be feathering it out and it should be getting wider and wider. After it's dry, you should only need to do a very light sanding if you've done it correcetly.

 

Forgot to mention the hole in the living room is in the floor, not the wall.

Glue some plywood underneath it then pour new concrete in the hole. (It's as simple as put it in the hole and empty your load!)

Throw some wire mesh in there just for friction!
