That is a good point if you put yourself into a bad situation or choose a bad lifestyle you are bound to have bad things happen! I was born in Monroe but lived in Detroit and Riverview up until I was 10 years old then moved here to Oklahoma...my ma got tranferred with here job.

 

It's not so much that, no matter how much fame and money you got you still have your same core of freinds that still like doing the same things. Be it hanging out at their house(in the ghetto or not), going and playing basketball at the local courts(be it in the ghetto or not), or going to a club(be it in the ghetto or not). I see no reason person should stop going places and stop doing things once they have money and fame.

Proof was not the type of rapper you are thinking of. He seldomly rapped about killing and never rapped about selling drugs and if he did go on "attack" he did it directly at the person who came at him first. Obie Trice got shot in the head on New Years Eve but it did not kill him and his comments ring true

Same applies here but none the less it is sad it happened. R.I.P. Proof, as of now it is about looking like the members of D12 are being sought after and pealed off one by one. Bugsy a member of D12 was shot and killed in 99, Obie was shot in the head on New Years Eve(while driving down the interstate), and now Proof.

I understand that I am just saying that just because you get rich and famous does not mean you start living your life totally different, stop going where you used to, and stop hanging with the people who have been your freinds from day one. If you do IMO you = sellout. It is sad that it happened and I know it happens alot but just because this guy had the money to be sitting in a mansion on the hill living the "good" life dont mean that is what he wanted. I give props to a person that does not let money change their way of life and it goes to show that not all rappers are just saying this crap in the studio. Some of them actually live the life and some people forget that.

I'll stop, I just know how it is as I was born and raised in the ghetto in NC. You dont just pick up and forget your life before money.

 

I can see both sides on this one. However, if I were in a "band" where past members were shot and killed, id use some of my money for some security or something.

why would you be bringing a gun to a club, thats jus asking for trouble.

 

yeah i saw the report thing on mtv news... it confused me at first. RIP Proof. RIP Mac Dre.

 

ya i also heard this on the news this morning..he's the one who pulled out the gun and started shooting, i dont get it..all his money and fame, turning your life into somthing good..and you got to go pull a gun on someone[&:], think about it!
