As far as the car goes, we'll see what I get back from the insurance company. May just buy some multi color EK shell for cheap and paint it the color I want. Trust me guys, white sounds very weird to me too, but I want CF and I hate the way CF looks on a black car (my old CF lip looked eh). It's really going to come down to what I can get, and if takes me a little while to get back to where I was so be it, but honestly the body on the coupe sucked, lots of dings dents chips and scratches. Now that I have the chance I want to do the body work and make the car look a lot nicer than before. Black is prestigious, but champion white always leaves me completely awe struck.

Just got some good news as I was writing this, I'm getting about 5000 back for the car AFTER buy back, which is absolutely awesome considering KBB value is under 4000. Looks like I'm gonna get what I want!

And of course, carnage pics. Basically it was totalled out. Frame rail is twisted, whole entire front of the car shifted to the right about 1" or so, hood is creased, windsheild is smashed, and the airbags are deployed. Not worth bringing back. I'm buying it back, pulling all the pieces out of it, and swapping it into whatever I end up with.















I will miss her dearly...

 

god damn i cant even stand to look at that.....looks like the whole engine/turbo setup is fine, along with the wheels, you MIGHT need a new intercooler though keep us updated man, i know you will.....

 

i was thinking that your intercooler never sat that low but it looks like the tabs broke off. it was hard to look at the pics man.

 

i shed a tear man, lol. could be worse though.

 

I can barely look at the pictures man...are most of your turbo parts ok?

 

Only thing out of all the suspension and turbo gear that was damaged was the cold side IC piping and a few Tbolt clamps, heh.

that's not a bad price from insurance, that will work out REALLY well for you. there's so much of the exterior that's undamaged, that should be easy to part out. Best of luck with everything!

 

Yeah MXS, I've got a ton of stuff in that car that can be sold not to mention I still have the Y8 that I can now get rid of etc etc etc. I've got a good 2K riding in that car just from parts that can be sold off etc.

I just found an absolutely BEAUTIFUL 1997 Black Del Sol for 5K in New Jersey... I just wish I had the check I want to just hand it to him and own that car.
