Ricer?

Ricer?
I just got a new 07 Civic and am starting to lay out some plans. I was discussing these plans with a friend and he made the comment, "Oh, you're building a ricer?" In my mind the plans I have don't scream ricer but I wanted to see what others thought and maybe get other's opinions on what a ricer actually is.
My plans are pretty simple right now. Rims, carbon fiber hood and trunk, projeciton headlights and maybe lower it a little (haven't decided if I'm just going to just replace the springs or do a full coil-over setup). Doesn't sound ricey to me. When I think of a ricer I think huge spoilers, hoods with scoops in them that do nothing, maybe body kits but only the ones thatare over the top crazy and never painted, exhaust just for the sound and stickers everywhere. I'm not trying to offend anybody here, I'm sure I just have different taste than others. I'm sure I like tons of stuff that others would think is crazy. To each his own, is what they say.
Here is a quick photoshop of what I have in mind:

Doesn't look ricey to me. You know man, you have to just go for what you really like. Some knuckleheads hear about you modding a Civic and automatically jump on the rice wagon. Me myself, I don't give a flip if anyone likes what I do to my car if that's what I really like. Now, there may be some things I may beunsure of and ask for opinions... but for the most part, I just go with what I feel. But no, what you have in the example photochop is not ricey. Go for it...

I plan on doing what I want, always have, always will. I guess more than anything I was wondering what others consider to be a "Ricer". I know that many will automatically label a Civic a ricer no matter what you do to it.

RE: Ricer?
Welcome to owning a civic. People hear the word "civic" and assume it's rice; it could be a fully built drag car running 11s and haters would still call it rice and make fun of you.
Anyway, here's my list of things that automatically make a car rice in my opinion:
-stickers brazenly displayed on doors, fenders, top of hood (under-hood roll calls are acceptable), sideskirts,or any window/winsheild
-unpainted body kit
-body kit that doesn't match the car (angular kit on a round-ish car or vice versa)
-overly exaggerated body kit/body kit with way too many vents/scoops
-hood scoops (I don't care if it's functional)
-fart can (if it's on stock tubing, since the N1 system has a huge fart can and it's still a decent exhaust)
-bigger than 18" wheels (as if 18's aren't bad enough)
-a car that is entirely primered (light gray) with black primer hood andside-stripes (I'm not even kidding... there's an escort with a body kitin a neighboring town that's been like that for a while now)
-any non-factory (or factory-appearing) spoiler on a fwd car
-anything aluminum that happens to be on your trunk lid

RE: Ricer?
Yeah, reaper, I agree with almost everything on your list. The bigger than 18" wheels thing is the only one I disagree with. The reason I disagree with you, however, is probably because I plan on putting 19's on my Civic. I saw a Si at my friends dealership that came stock with 18s and there was just a little but too much tire, but like stated above, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
This is my 3rd Civic but when I owned my last one, nobody called them ricers. Could have been because everyone I hung around had one but either way I didn't hear that term until after my second Civic was stolen.
