i agree in that less is more. the less the govt. is involved in the less money they technically should be able to waist. most of us work hard for what we have, yet most of the spending goes to those who have learned to play the system instead of earning your keep. The other factors that will influence my vote will be immigration, and our second amendment rights. these two positions alone axed my vote for julianie.
NY was a safe harbor state for illegals, and he is flip floping on gun control.
I dont think it is fair that i will work my *** off for 35, 40 years and not see one dime of the social security i paid towards throughout my entire career while individuals who came here ILLEGALLY get amnisty and can collect without hardly contributing.
Also imagine no americans being able to own firearms? most crimes comitted with guns are done by those who obtain them illegally anyway. now think about how exposed our borders truly are to terrorist. i dont know about you, but i would like to be able to defend my family and fellow CITIZENS. the way things are now, i believe it is quite possible that this war could spread to american soil.
I feel that whoever is elected needs a set of brass *****, and has a greater interest in preserving the lives of AMERICANS than worrying about individuals overseas who want to kill eachother, and have been trying to do so since basically the beginning of civilization.

First off, Ron Paul is way too extreme to be elected to office. It is true that the media doesn't give him much attention, but part of that probably has to do with the fact that he is so far out there that most Americans will not want to vote for him. I looked up two issues on Ron Paul's website. Healthcare and Education. On Healthcare, Ron Paul doesn't seem to have a stance on healthcare. His website just says some stuff about drugs and alternative medicine. He isn't tackling the issue in this instance. The real issue in healtcare isn't really about drugs and alternative medicine. While prescription drugs are a big issue, he doesn't mention that either. He simply says the FDA should not have as much control. I think that Ron Paul is for not government healthcare (medicare/medicaid). Is this really what we want? The insurance companies controlling healthcare. On education, Ron Paul wants to get rid of the Department of Education and pass the responsibility of education onto the states. "schools can be funded by local taxes" straight from his website. Thats a nice idea. Rich areas where there is alot of tax money will get good schools and poor areas will get even more ****ty schools. I'm a firm believer in the power of education. If we want to fix the problems with America we need to make sure that every American has access to a high quality education. Education cannot be a luxury for the rich. These are two issues I looked up on his website that I was interested in. I'm not saying that Ron Paul is totally bad, he has some ideas that I agree with but I think that on the big issues that he will directly have an impact on as president his ideas aren't good. His stance on civil liberties is great but I don't feel that he will be able to make a difference on that issue. He may be able to make a difference on key issues like education and healtcare and his stance on these issues is not something I agree with or believe is best for the country.
