RE: Grrrr.....My car's freakish luck...
Heres what they're for:
Hubcentric rings are designed to fill in the gap between the hub of the car and the center bore of the wheel. Most wheel manufacturers design their wheels with a center bore large enough to fit on most cars. Therefore, since wheel manufactures make their center bore large enough to fit most cars, most wheel fitments have a gap between the hub and the center bore. This gap usually doesn't allow for the wheel to fit hubcentric but rather lugcentric which causes vibration. Therefore, to fill the gap and ensure the fitment is hubcentric, hub rings are used.

RE: Grrrr.....My car's freakish luck...
allright...I guess I'll post a plan of action for the next 6 months...
it's going into paint the 11th to be painted the stock color...after this there are a few minor things that need to be fixed here and there, but that's minor...here's what I have in mind
suspension:
1. A set of sways
2. rear LCA's
3. ASR subframe brace
4. a set of strut bars and a front H-brace
5. Rear disk brake conversion
Engine(towards end of winter):
built y8head (valvetrain depends on who has the best christmas sale)
sleeved z6 block (rotating assy again depends on who has a better special)
Some sort of stage2 clutch
F/I
junkyard turbo set-up with ebay intercooler
P28 chipped and tuned with uberdata

Progress
A few more things to add on the car...I finally replaced the blower motor...damn that was easy except I managed to reverse polarity somehow during the process...in the old motor the piece that holds the brushes broke so couldn't repair that. The altezzas.....let's just say I took em out and put them on the trunk overnight...no more altezzas...did some cleaning up...some rewiring....well nothing major
