He didnt expect the xbox. Before when we were talking about gifts, I was gonna get him a throttle body spacer for his truck. Theyre not that much. But I just thought Id be really generous and get him the xbox. I dont think he was even completely serious when he asked if it was an xbox. I just dont want him to think hes gotta get me something from tiffanys.
And trust me, our relationship is not about materialistic things. Weve been through a lot that would tear most ppl apart. I just want to do something nice for the boy i love.

 

you could always play a little trick on him...tell him you can't find any xboxs around, and that you'll have to get something else, and see what his reaction is.

Here's my take on the situation: Some person above said that you'll have many a dateless night once you get him this brain drainer, I full agree. Being a semi-car junkie I say you get him the throttle body spacer. He'll be happy, you'll still have a boyfriend, and it all works out. It's key that you don't expect a gift of equal or greater value from him though. It's Christmas, the time of giving, not receiving, allegedly. Once you start expecting what I just said not too, then that's where things start breaking up, in my opinion. Anyhow, best of luck with this dilemna. OK being a 19 year old guy maybe I can shed some light. Its probably a better thing he found out to tell you the truth especially if he doesn't know the price range of presents. He would probably feel like crap if he got you like a 50-100$ item and you got him a $400 item (just example I don't know what xBox360 is running). Personally I always tried to equal or greater whatever my girlfriend got me. I even got my girlfriend a necklace after she ended up kinda blowing me off right before my birthday (we had same birthday) and yes I'm way to nice. Anyways he will probably want to get you something equal or greater to what you got him. Its what I would do at least.

I dont expect something great from him. Thats why I didnt wanna tell him that I was getting him this. Cause I dont want him to try and top it, just get me something meaningful from him. And yea, ppl payin over $1000 for a game are crazyy. I even saw some for over $2000. Im waitin a couple weeks til ppl calm down about getting them. I just need it before xmas.

 

dont count on getting one cheap. They come out around xmas for a reason.

 

$1000 is cheap, I saw on the news that someone on eBay had theirs up to $1800. They were released here today and are selling for $500CAN.
