Question About Boys..
So the other day, my bf was talking about how he wanted an Xbox 360. So me, being the great girl I am haha, called his best friend and got all the info bout them, and decided I would surprise him with one for Christmas. Today I told him I had an idea about wat to get him for xmas. He was bugging me so I told him Im gonna get his gift at Best Buy. Somehow, the first words outta his mouth were "Xbox 360??" I tried to play it off. Then he started talkin bout the platinum edition, and he could tell I knew what he was talking about. Finally I had to admit that I had done some research and was gonna get him the platinum edition one for Xmas. He was excited.
So then, he says he was thinking about what he was gonna get me. And when I asked, he told me he is gonna get me something from Tiffanys. (I had showed him a few things from there I liked a few weeks ago.) But now Im kinda worried hes just gettin me something from Tiffanys cause Im getting him an xbox. Do guys think like that? Like they gotta get a gift as good as the one they received? I just dont want him to feel like hes HAS to get me something from Tiffanys. Thanks in advance.

RE: Question About Boys..
How old is your BF? He wants an Xbox? LMAO. BTW, you're going to have a tough time finding those for a while. Check out the going rate on ebay.
To answer your question. Guys think differently. I would prefer to surprise a girl with something original. He's your bf, so he should already know what you like.

RE: Question About Boys..
Hes 19 lol. When I showed him the things from Tiffanys, he seemed open to the idea, but then asked me about a few other things i might want. So I was assuming he was going against the Tiffanys stuff.
And AOL, LOL i wouldnt hold it against him if he didnt get me something better than what i got him. Most girls, (me atleast), dont really think of gifts that way. That was part of the reason I didnt wanna tell him wat it was. I didnt want him to think he had to match my present.
So do you guys think I should tell him that he doesnt have to buy me something from Tiffanys just cause Im getting him an xbox? I dont know why Im so worried about this. Ive known him for quite a while.

RE: Question About Boys..
big mistake LowRed.
it seems your relationship is kind of revolved around materialistic things, which is a recipe for disaster.
it's true, all guys are gadget freaks, but your boyfriend shouldn't expect a $400 game console for christmas. that's just rediculous.
as for the tiffany's thing... lol.
just remember. as soon as he gets his hands on that xbox, you're gonna be dateless on many a night. lol.
my wife is kind of like that. she expects expensive gifts. I hate them. and I hate buying them even MORE. lol
because materialistic things never last. Buy me a computer book anyday. Jeezis, i'm a nerd. lol.

RE: Question About Boys..
yeah, i kinda agree with drbyers. my boyfriend and i usually agree upon an amount that we can't go over. christmas time usually sucks for him because my birthday is 4 days later, and then our anniversary is on the 1st of january. i just enjoy being around him on those days and maybe going out to a cool place for dinner.
