i installed a modchip to one of my friends ps2 once, however it was back then when the hdd support wasn't still available, it was the simple kind that would only let you play back ups, but damn it had like 20 wires to solder, however thinking about it, the first xbox modchips were 29 wires[&:]

 

Where did you get your info? i don't believe that itll be 500 bucks. I really doubt the source u got that from. the guy that owns EB(electroncis boutique) in the mall where I live knows some people from Sony. he told me its gonna be priced the same as a 360.

and no, a worldwide release for the PS3 is not a bad idea. the ps3 is almost the only system in Japan (as far as sales go) and they call the UK "The land of the Playstation"... here in the states I think ps2 and xbox are about the same....

as far as prices for the blu ray disks... who cares? if you own a tv thats capable of displayin the resolution that the blu rays can do then u prolly got an extra $5 for the blu ray disks... right?

Also---- is the PSP REALLY only $199 now????

 

eh.... never mind i just found it. its gonna happen march 22. the only thing is, the $199 one wont come with a mem stick, pouch or remote contol. [&:]

ehh i just bought mine not to long ago and i paid like $290 to get the 2 year warrenty on it. which i highly recommend cause they are fragile. but i play it everyday. they are awesome

My girlfriend kicks my *** at that game horribly, so I quit.. never again!. next time I'm buying a real game like Grand theft auto(I'm bitter, sucks being beat by a girl on a videogame for christ sake!).. and yeah those PSP screens scratch easily.
