Police Auctions
Does any1 know the deal on police auctions? My dad told me that he knows a guy taht picked up a 120k Mercedes for like 40K. I was talking to my friend and he said that the cops strip the cars or something before they put them up for auction.

I don't know alot about em, but I got a bike once from a police auction (back when I thought cops were so so)
Basically, if you got 5 warrents for your arrest, and you get picked up, and locked up, and no one gets your car, it's now the piggy's, and they sell it, hence police auctions, you can get some good deals at em though, thats what I think anyways

you can find nice cars there....really really big selction (depending what kind of police auction it is), but i no around here they dont put if its cert or e-tested and they dont tell you if anything is wrong and so on, so it would be great if you no a mechanic you could bring..but you can start them up to see how they are

Oh, Yea... Depending on where you are you CAN get nice cars. Round where I am all you get areJUNKERS! The tow companies need reimbursement and so do the impound lots so the cars are sold to the highest bidder! You can also check the bank repos and insurance recoveries (those are good if you like replacing stuff cause most of the factory stuff is already gone! LOL)
