So last night i went into EBGames just to look arround, and they had a PS# and a Wii set up for testing. I played i think it was Excite Car(like excite bike but with cars/trucks) or something... for the Wii man it was ****ing awesome, the graphics weren't the best, but to turn the car you had to rotate the controller. i am definately thinking on getting a Wii after the new year(primairily for the new Zelda game, looks bloody awesome)

Now forthe PS3 they only had a demo disk in but i played the demo for metalstore(offroad truck/car racing) and the graphics were crazy awesome, the sound was good. the controls was the same feel as the old PS controllers. the joystick were a little more responsive and felt like the ones off the Xbox, and the R2/L2 buttons are now triggers like the xbox as well(looks like SOMEONE got the idea from another game sontroler).... but yeah both were awesome. just thought i would post my thoughts on the systems.

 

of course they would be, personally if i got one i wouldnt really care what one i got, they both have new technology and amazing graphics, sometimes you notice a little difference between graphics and gameplay between systems, but i dont really care..as long as it looks good and im having fun, all the systems are great

^ i totally agree, one game can have the absolute BEST graphics in the world, but if the gameplay isn't there it just sucks then.... and vice versa, the graphics could be poor but if the gamplay is there then awesome. I personally most likely will not get a PS3 cause everyone i know has a PS2 and will most likely get a PS3... i want the 360 for the racing games, but if they come out with more racing games for the Wii... it is looking in favor of that cause the gameplay is there, as well as you can download EVERY game for the NES and SNES for it(aparently anyway)

 

i personally hate video game consoles, but the PS3 is unbelievable graphics-wise...

 

I played a wii, and then bought one. The wii is a system that won't sell people because of graphics, but on gameplay. Wii sports was awesome being able to swing the bat, and pitching the ball with the controller was awesome as well. As for the PS3, it was only playable for around three to five minutes before it froze and had to be reset.

 

^ it amazingly didn't freeze on me, and there was 2 people playing it for about 15minutes before i got to try it. i looked around the store and played two races on the Wii... but yeah i am deffinately thihnking on getting a Wii, i just hope it wont be like when i bought the gamecube..... There was no games that i wanted for it so i sold it.... but the new Zelda game is aparently as close to a sequal to Ocariana of time as you can get. And it is also claimed to be the best Zelda game yet

 

If you research on ign.com the previews for games coming to the wii, you'll see its nothing like the gamecube. And games such as monkey ball that are childish and weren't that great on the cube, will be so awesome on the wii because of the controller interaction. The games that will be coming to the wii as sequels will be awesome, and of course mario will be pimpin too. Not to mention all 64, nes, and snes games you want!

 

thanks for the review fiirkan. for the money the wii is probably the best system between the two but you can't play dvds on it. and the ps3 has the new blu ray, but people are not going to want to convert from dvds over to blu ray, just like the vcr to the dvd. fiirkan what one would you pick based on the best bang for your buck?
