Default pipeline problems

2 of our oil pipe lines to south carolina are down. So our gas is now up to $4 f'n dollars a gallon! Fortunalty for me and all of us, we have econoboxes. Also, I live a 1/2 mile away from work so it normally takes me a week to get an empty tank (after small driving to other areas) but when I want to start complaining, I just look at idiots like H2 owners next to me pumping and I smile.

I watched the gas station on the corner from my house go up 3 different time yesterday. It started out at $2.67 for regular and went up to $2.74 by noon and then by 6PM it was up to $2.88 for regular.

We need to strike or something!

In a six hour period, from me going to school and coming back, the price went from $2.71 to $2.81. As of last night at 11:30 PM, it was $2.89. I imagine it's higher this morning. I'm filling up the tires in my bike for the ride to work tomorrow. Either that or go down to Tijuana and fill up with PeMex! as far as I know their refineries are OK.

As for striking, my friend, OPEC nations aside, on a global level the U.S. is still somewhat spoiled. The only one on this thread who can complain a bit thus far is Remington. $4 a gallon is just slightly starting to compare to what they pay in Europe.

i have been told that severalof the large truckers unions are going to go on strike, and when that happens, it shuts Everything down. evidently it happened in the 70s, and the govt stepped in and fuel prices were greatly reduced. a member of another site said that his father, who is a truck, is paying about 1,300 dollars per fill up right now, and when the truckers go on strike, there is pretty much nothng that can get to stores...so as much as i dont like unions, it seems that one is about to put the country on lockdown for better fuel prices...the biggest issue with the fuel prices are the taxes that teh gov't puts on fuel, which is how they regular the price.
