RE: Pics of my new daily driver
Oh I didn't know that was your bimmer patrick! You've got a few cars up your sleeve!
Yeah, the old bimmers arent bad... but in my shopping (that led to the audi) I learned how poorly BMW stacks up against merc's and Audi's.
BMW's are more fun though... RWD... obviously.
Until it snows.
But yes, I'd sell my soul for an M3 or M5... so I'm not anti-bmw or anything.
And the new hinges thing... maybe, but who knows. But the time I noticed they were sagging, it had toasted the paint on door and fender... the paint job was dont just before I bought it, at a cost of nearly 4K.

Audi is garbage. Personally I would never buy one. I had enough bad experiences with my VW and Audi is pretty similar from what I've seen. The interiors in Audi are the best I've ever seen though -cars look great on the outside too, but they don't justify the poor reliability of these cars. Turbos are prone to premature failures and timing belts require very close attention as they tend to break relatively early. Don't get me wrong, I love driving Audis (I drive the 2005-06 models quite often at my work) and I wanted to get an A4, but after I did some research, Audi's reputation has greatly deteriorated in my eyes. Newer mercs are not very reliable either - however, the pre '95 ones were built like tanks and had motors that lasted for 500000 miles. I bought the BMW in the end, because I've personally seem quite a few of them with 250000 miles or more, plus I really like the styling and the simplicity of the cockpit
