Any idea how the tranny is? Does it have any leaks? I hear a few people have trouble with those trannies.

 

which few? that car that i pictured was running 15.70s with a bad third gear, and 160k on the original tranny...

 

Sweet find! Eventually I'm gonna head over to Harry's U Pull It in Hazelton; one of the largest junkyards on the eastcoast, for cars of course; and see if I can find me a Teg that I can pull a rear disk conversion off of. I'm hoping they have something I know they sell stuff dirt cheap, might look for a I6 and tranny for my Jeep while I'm there.

good find, but it thought that this is how much they usually go for. I passed up a deal on a '92 TSI for $1k

 

all the TSi's I found where $1800 or more and the ESi's where $1200 or more but that might just be my area

i had one of thos left into my parents business parking lot, they must of blew the motor or somthing and didn't want it, we had it towed away tho..good daily driver
