Default OMFG!!!!!

Holy $hit! Holy$hit! I just had the best hour of my life on my lunch break today. OMG. I went to the dealer to pick up an s2000 poster for motivation. Then a dealer walks up and asks if he can help me... I told him I was pretty much window shopping. Then after we talked he offered to let me test drive the S2000!!!!!! It was cool as hell! I was asking him if it could smoke a 350z. He said of course. I said bs to call his bluff. Well turns out one of the other salesman had ONE! And said he'd be glad to race the s2000 to prove it. The s2000 smoked the nissan! Then after we got back and we were talking more the dealer mentioned that there was this japenese dude with an '04. He has it turboed and almost pushing 400 HP! Wild... truly wild. When I get mine, it wont be my girlfriend... it will be my WIFE!

I had a fantastic time. Yes, actuall the brochure reccomend you run it thru the gauntlet. It was awesome. The salesman was peeling wheel and everything... then he let me do it! Oh god you have no idea how many looks i got in that car. But for you guys who never have driven one. It is exactly what a roadster is supposed to be. Its suspension is not comfortable at all, no frills, you should be able to hear the engine loud and clear, and you should get the feeling your attached to the road. The fanciest thing interior wise is the crummy honda radio and that is ExACTLY how a roadster is supposed to be!

Bravo Honda, Bravo! You have whipped out one of the best roadsters of all time. [sm=smiley32.gif]

I hope you were joking because I dont know why you wouldnt like me.

That aside, I test drove an '02. Im planning on buying an '04 mainly because it is improved.

there isnt much of a difference in the 2 models..'04 has a higher amount of torque and compression... i think i tighter suspention as well

suspension is one of the bigger improvements... they also did small body changes, and a switcheroo on the gauges

go for the older one, i think it was 03 and back. the new "torquier" engine is not as good IMHO. it is up in displacement, yet has the same HP. thats because it has a way lower redline. if i had an S, i would HAVE to be able to rev it to 9k, or i dont want it. i think the new one is like 7800 redline. sold out to Americans stupid obsession with torque.

Well, not quite. The new one hits peak power at 7,800, but the redline is still 8,000 (not a big difference, I know). But I agree: the older ones are better. The torque isn't even upped that much in the new ones.
