You do know people die on that road and I do not want a meet being aranged by me to have a death or even an injury in it. I could not or would not want that hanging over my head. I want it to be a good time sure but I mean dont be stupid. I want it to be late summer because for one it will take me that long to have my hatch in good working order to go and plus there is a flood of traffic at the first of summer being Boone has a college that has let out for summer break along with all the local high schools.

Ya... lets take a weekend out early to mid August. That time is very good weather in the mountiains. Find a date so I can mark it on my clanedar, maybe well finally meet for a once!

 

I can't do mid-late August. I think earlier that month would be best

 

Early August sounds good to me. How about the 4th, 5th, and 6th

 

4 thru 6 falls on a Friday to sunday. That sounds lke a plan to me. Find hotels close to there. I think a small sleepy mountain town will be the best.

 

By coindienace, the 7th of Augsut is classified as "Civic Holiday"

 

Hotel's will not be a problem. I had planned for us all to stay in Gatlinburg.

Good luck though, my experience tells me you need about 10 pages of replies for every one person that actually shows up.

The only way I could do it is if it were the week I was driving back to NY. Most likely the last or second to last week of August.

It'd definitely be fun though... I could show you all how a real car goes through corners. (I had an 04-05 Si follow me to the highway this morning on a very twisty road and left him looking like a matchbox car in the rear-view.)

But really, I do miss the Civic sometimes. Then I turn on the heated English Leather seats, pump the Harmon/Kardon stereo and forget what I was thinking about.[8D]

 

800+ miles for me each way, I probably won't make it.
