Oil Field dissovered in the states!
I snatched this topic from HT but thought my HFC kin might like to know as well. This could work out great for us, but I have a bad feeling that most of this will get sold to china, india, and whatever other countries are developing and buying up a lot of oil.

That is nice to know. Price of gas may come down, but the oil companies will continue to play the same old game to keep gas prices as high as they can. It isn't the so much the cost to get the oil that it is so high, it is how much that is in the reserve. The more oil in the reserve the less the oil is sold for, as the reserve starts to get lower then price goes up. They only pump as much oil they want to to control the oil in reserve. It isn't nothing but a big game to the oil companies.

If there are in fact large oil reserves in the U.S., the federal government can decide whether the oil can be exported or not. I would think it would be political suicide for any politician to back somethign that would allow cheap American oil to go to China or India.

If selling the oil means that we'll dig ourselves out of some of the financial ****age we're in, I say go for it.
I for one and doing just fine with the prices where they're at. It sucks, and I've had to make sacrifices, but it hasn't broken the bank....yet

To tell you the truth its more like $8 dollars a gallon here in Germany but also think over here it is LT. So the price is about 3.30 EURO. not dollar. So dont come to europe and drive that is where Im saving my gas money from my car and its all going into a savings account and whenever I get back I wont have an issue with the gas prices at all. Unless there really damn expensive.
