i just got a 2nd job working at pepboys... woohoo.... anyways.... some guy came in to put a wheel on his car (if he couldnt do this then he shouldnt have a car). anywayz... he paid 10 dollars for it...lol. the car was hideous... i wanted to take a pic but the guy was standing right there. try to imagine this... blue 4 door saturn...with a hood scoop... blue tint... spray painted white rims...grilles... and rotors. spray painted white and blue interior. a white dragon decal going along the whole side of the car. and to top in off a double decker wing in the back spray painted white. and it was an automatic. they guy was like 20 years old and stood next to it like its a lambo. all the mechanics were making fun of him...lol

 

i never had much respect for pepboys since they cant even get jumping a car right. i had to stop the dude cause he was crossing the wires...

 

ditto. Plus they don't know how to do an alignment on a BMW. Not to mention the fact that they sell tons of ricer crap. That's probably where that saturn guy got all of his "mods"

You are in a position to help out some of these younger
guys that don't know anything about cars. Some of these
kids don't have a dad to teach them so they are out there
thrashing around trying to do things on their own. At least
give him credit for doing something even if it is puke looking.
steer them in the right direction but in a way that doesn't
insult him. Be a man!

 

I see where you are coming from, but in my experience, these hardcore "ricers" cant be told anything. they already know everything there is to know about cars, and you cant convince them of anything different.

 

Too true...but I have seen some that appreciated the help.
You can tell the difference in about two seconds of
conversation. There will always be knuckleheads
that can't learn. but the one in a hundred that can
is worth the effort.

 

yah.... it wouldnt have helped. he seemed like he was s jerk. he told me he worked there before and then threw his keys at me like i was a butler... i didnt work on his car and then he came back an hour later and was like " is the wheel put on" and i was like "oh... i'll get it done now"...lol. thinkin his **** was the hottest around... meanwhile right next to him i was doing an oil change on a 06 gto... man that was nice
