the same thing happened to me a couple months ago...i hit an ice patch at like 15-20mph and the front passenger wheel went right into the curb[:@] it ended up being real bad, had to replace the control arm, wheel bearing, the wheel, steering knuckle, get the alignment fixed, and a couple other things...ended up being nearly 1k just to get all of it fixed, half of which was labor!

^ the only thing with that Pete is that not everyone is experienced enough or they don't have the proper tools,

but GOOD news, i took a look at it this morning and it seems the only damage was on the hubcap (and i have 2 spares) so i seem to be good to go for this one... scary situation though on that, never want to go through anything like that again.[:'(]

just buying all the parts i needed would have cost somewhere around $600 i think it was. and then having to go through the hassle of replacing everything with not having the right tools and full knowledge would have been difficult and very very time consuming. i didnt want to run the risk of messing more stuff up or running into difficult situations. so even if i did do it myself, the cost of parts and the amount of time it prolly would have taken, i would have been close to the price i payed anyways.

****e happens. if things always worked out as planned, then there wouldn't be a need for credit cards.

just chalk it up as another lesson learned.
