i just bought a nice big comfy sweater, then took a pair of scissors to it and just the arm off. needed something to cover my arm and keep the metal warm.

Dell Inspiron port replicator. I'm a cheap bastard. It would cost me more to replace the broken power port on this laptop than it did to buy a $15 D/port. Bypassed the problem, computer works again.

Im a cheaper bastard so I opened my laptop up, took off the broken power port, hacked the end of the wire and soldered the wires directly to the board. Now I cant detach the cable tho....
