i've always been interested in using the octane booster but have just been afraid of it causing problems and such. i really only wana use it for autox tho, which is only a couple times a month at best.

to answer the engine question..my motor is a 1969 340cid out of a plymouth cuda.. the heads are off of a late model dodge truck. the crank and rods are original, from 1969...the pistons are new..hence the low compression

On Torco's website you can buy a bottle for $17.95 or a case of 6 for $116.25

What kind of a deal is that?
ORIGINAL: sacicons

for a booster that works? not too bad of a deal at all. race gas is $5/Gallon or more, here its 5.99 for 100 octane.

5.99(5)=29.95

then booster instead w/93

3.00(5)=15
15+9(half a bottle)=24

30 bucks for 5 gallons of 100 octane, or 24 bucks for 5 gallons of 104. thats a pretty decent deal, and if you buy it by the case, its even cheaper.
That's my point. If you add it up, it cost more by the case from their website. $116.25 divided by 6 = $19.38 or 1 bottle for $17.95

i read in sport compact cars mag that for older cars with high mileage its actually better to use octane booster and that its sometimes better for them to use higher octane. and no it does not give u horsepower, just"restores" lost power or somethin like that. i guess ill give it a shot. do u know if its one of those things that once u use it, u have to keep on using it or can i just put it in the gas for the week im gena race and then stop using it for a couple weeks and then use it again?
