RE: O ****...
Not for anything... But maybe you should stay in school a LITTLE bit longer. At least enough to get the correct spelling of "apprentice" down . I can pick out more than 5 words that are misspelled in that whole reply you wrote. Remember, to be successful, you need to at least be able to be understood and spell correctly.

well when you get out in the real world all the 14,000 dollars will go towards rent and bills... not your car. stay in school, a GED is much harder to get than a diploma, and a diploma will be looked upon higher than a GED when applying for jobs. As for family probs.... everyone has them...trust me. I was put on "suicide watch" in eighth grade. I made it through high school with good grades and am now in college. I'm gonna be an art teacher. not much money, but it's gonna make me happy. and that's what counts, life's too damn short to worry about money and material possesions. If i have to live in an apartment or somethin, then fine. at least i'm happy at work.....sorry to get side tracked. but trust me, you'll regret droppin out.
just my $0.02
BTW-it makes me feel better to see another "prespective" civic owner on here, rather than people that actually already own one.... lol

Here is my two cents about dropping out of school. Don't do it. I'm a senior right now and i wouldn't give up my Jr. and Sr. year in high school. I know that school can be hard at times and it seems like taking all those classes that you don't like and think are pointless is stupid. The point is that you will take classes and find one that you like. Maybe you are actually gonna be really good at chemistry or physics, or even calculus. But how will you know unless you take physics, chemistry, or calculus? I know that i liked taking physics last year and that i found that it might be something i could do in college. Dropping out of school should be a really hard decision, so think about it before you make anything final.

I dropped out. Yea, I got my "Good Enough Diploma" which can get me somewhere if I ever quit my job but Im not proud of it either. Im a really smart dude and shouldnt have done it. Im lucky as hell I have the gift of selling or I would be wipeing down tables right now. Certificates and degrees dont mean shizzle. But they get you a foot in the door. Alot of college kids are sitting around right now without jobs because they thought the degree would take care of everything. You gotta work hard, even in school.
Dont be a fool, stay in school!

Honda man- thank you for all your input, I know everyone has family problems, but mine are pretty bad, I rather not get into detail, unless someone would like to talk about it, but put it this way, Protective Child Services is now involded in this mess. When I said $14,000 a year, that was a minium wage, but him and I talked, I'll get paid more as I gain skill and experience.
Agent- I dunno, it just sorta pisses me off, and feels like a waste, sitting in a class learning, as of now, useless ****, I mean, I rather work a 12 hour manaul labor job, 6 days a week, which I do! how many teenagers do you hear saying that, and on toppa that, love the job too!!
Remmy- you got me beat man lol

RE: O ****...
You got a good work ethic, and ill tell you right now that it will get you very far. But what will get you even farther is a good education. Image is everything and a GED is not the same as a high school diploma. People will think of you diffrently if you have a GED regardless of how smart you are. So tough it out through school. There are some classes that i sit and i don't want to be there (biology) but i do it anyway. Yea its hard and i don't like it but i look past the fact that its a PITA *** right now and look forward to the future. Yea you could end up doing manual labor for the rest of your life, but think about it. Is this what you want to be doing for the next 40 years? There is nothing wrong with doing manual labor, working hard is all right. The thing is you are young right now and it seems like its not so bad. But over the years the job is gonna take its toll on your body. Your gonna get old and everything is gonna hurt. I think that you should go through high school. It looks like you want to start your own buisness, take buisness classes. Maybe you will like the idea of buisness and you can do both. You can be a plumber but also be a buisnessman. An MBA would really help out.
