My F16 flight! (with pics)
I got a ride in an f16 on Friday. Man was it awesome... I will never be satisfied with the speed of my car ever again. :lol:
Here are a few pics:
This is one of us in the arming area. Thats where the pull all the safely pins and arm up things like chaff, flares, ejection seat, and weapons if they are active. You can see the other jets in the back ground. We went as a flight of 4.
Here is a pic out the window of our wingman. After a few simulated bombing runs we split up into 2 separate 2 jet formations and flew throught the alps at about 7,000 feet. OMG it was the greatest ride ever.
Here is a pic of the Swiss Alps. They are just a few miles from the base.
This is me in the cockpit of course, and the last one is of me and the pilot that I flew with. Fighter pilots are some pretty cool guys... He even let me fly the jet for about 20 minutes. I would have took pics of the console and the heads up display, but how they had it configures was classified so I couldnt take pics.
