unless you know the dude personally youll never find them. I had a guy get into my paypal and try to transfer money, ebay said it was a "ring" operating from the Ukraine.

RE: my ebay account broken into...
thats one reason why i keep ebay on FAVORITES and ALWAYS look at the web adress and short cut links from emails....
they can also fake email adresses...... so they can make it look like it came from the POPE if they wanted.....
i get them ALL THE TIME!!!!!! emails saying i havent paid for items, or if i will leave feedback for them now... or all kinds of BS emails.......
even paypal crap.........
the dead giveaway is the auction numbers... i copy those and go thru my ebay FAVORITE link and paste in the auction number. and it NEVER MATCHES or anything close to what i would bid on.LOL
fake emails are a VERY POPULAR way for online scammers lately...... im just shocked that ebay flaged you....
if you think youve EVER followed a fake link.... HERES THE BEST TRICK FOR YOU........ TYPE IN THE WRONG PASSWORD ON PURPOSE!!!!!
I DO IT WITH PAYPAL EVERYTIME! and also pay attention to the web adress.... people can FAKE a visual web LINK.... but the actual web adress is always stated in the web adress and of you right click onto the link for properties it will show the actual web adress...
and if you still THINK you went to the false weblink and typed in a password CHANGE IT INSTANTLY!!!!!
i did it once not thinking but changed it fast enough they didnt get anything.... LUCKELY....
