I like the Fox body Mustangs.

 

did ford actually produce cobras or were they built out of factory cars like the lingenfelter vettes?

 

I don't like the fox body mustang. I've heard that they make alot of power, but they look terrible IMO. However, i do like the 06 mustang. If i was gonna buy a new car in that price range, it would be down to an 06 Mustang GT or a Evo VIII MR. The mustang makes 300HP and 320 torque. On top of that, there is a S.C. for the stang that will bring it up to ~500HP on the stock motor. And the base model GT can be purchased for around 24k, which is damn cheap.

 

psh if i were to buy any car in that price range id get i formula.

i love fbodies.

new car...id prolly have to go with a GT too.

ps. one more advantage of the mustang GT. its the one of the only cars in its price range that can easilly be made to 500hp. 24k for the car, 4k for the supercharger, 500 for install...ur making 500hp on 28.5k...28 if you know what ur doing when it comes to SCs.

 

THats exactly what i was thinking. I don't think there is another new car that is that cheap to make 500HP out of.

 

i would like proof positive of a new mustang with 500hp simply by bolting on a supercharger...all of the guys that i know who are getting 500hp have built engines...not just a bolted on supercharger...one guy who ive talked to is building 438hp with the vortech supercharger and an aftercooler...

and the 03-04 cobras were factory forced induction cars...because ford cant build a competant NA engine to compete with the vettes, GTOs, or even the charger sedans, for that matter....

 

Its not 500, its 470 so i was a little off. Supercharger

 

i would venture to say that pushing 9.5psi of boost through a GT with stock compression of 9.8:1 is begging for a problem...i dont doubt that it will make 470hp for 5 grand...but for how long?

also, keep in mind how much additional wear and tear that creates on other things like the transmission and the rear diff.

 

The GT40... Although the price difference is HUGE.. o wait its supercharged lol nevermind... Damnit Ford!!
