i got a call today from my sister and she told me that my little bro (7grade) was in school, and some kid asked to borrow a pen, so my bro tossed him the pen, but the kid didnt catch the pen and it hit him in the head, well this kid gets pissed off and hucks the pen at my bro. HITS HIM RIGHT IN THE EYEBALL!!! so my 13 year old brother might loose vision in his right eye now, he just had a surgery yesterday and has to have 2 more before they can tell if he will be one eyed or not. Its sucks twice as bad becuase he just got the cast off his leg 9 days ago. (he snapped his shin bone in half over the winter). Despite all that, he just laughed and said "So far 2005 isn't going to well for me." Just thought i would share that with uuurybody. peace

File a lawsuit against the school and/or teacher for negligence in the classroom. That should get you a few cool mil if he loses his eye. Sucks tho bro, ill pray for your brother.

Has the student or school offered any kind of apology? What actions were taken by the school in reference to the other student? Filing a lawsuit maybe in your best interests but if your bro feels the student is really remorseful he maybe happy with that? Ask your brother what he wants to do as he is the one who will have to go to school with these kids? Ultimatly the decision rests with your parents and your brother. It doesn't sound as though it was a malicious attack but an accident. I do hope that your brother is fine and has no issues with his vision. Best of luck and keep us updated.

 

yeah i talked to him again yesterday and he is doing good, i dont know what they are going to do about a lawsuit, we'll see though. i am just glad he is in good spirits, they think his vision will be fine, i think he has 1 more operation left, thanks for the support.
