look into a type r tranny, or a Quaiffe LSD, and you should toast RX-8s. and remember, professional driving instruction is worth more than all the parts you can put on your car.

there are alot of spoiled people at my school that get everything they want
haha, weren't you handed a frickin Si in the same fashion?

Anyway, Like they^ said, the combination of the oddly powered rotary, and the fact that its a 16-17 yr old girl driving it, gives you a decent fighting chance

I would never buy a RX-8 or any brand new rotary motor car. My friend was car shopping and she went and looked at the RX-8's and she didnt buy it because why would I want to have to add a quart of oil to the motor at every other fill up of the gas tank in a brand new car??

I can understand in a older used RX-7 or something but not something that is brand new!

I have the excellent book called the "Ultimate Visual Dictionary". What sweet about it is that it breaks down what engines look like and how they work. It showed me how the Wankel Engine works and it extremely simple, bit of course its tricky.

it's the ease of teardown that makes them VERY easy to rebuild...such a small amount of parts in that motor. rotorheads aren't joking around when they say 3 moving parts...

forty04, i was somewhat handed it. i am having to pay for my gas, $6,000 on the car ( little over half ) and anything i want for it, so i am having to work for it and stuff. anyways, when i got home from football yesterday i walked through the garage and there it was. shiny black with the 18" rims...and my car sittin on the other side of the garage. its nice but i just dont see paying that much for something when there are alot more cars out there. oh well i got what i wanted because if i wreck i wont be out AS MUCH. for a first car, i didnt want a new one. i could have got an 05 scion tc and they are pretty sweet, but im a honda guy and have always wanted the si!!!

dads friend (used to have a second gen RX-7...i think he sold it finally) has an RX-8. let my dad drive it. my dad said it was so smooth he was up to 80 and didnt even realize it cuz hes used to his 1st gen rx-7 which gets shaky at about 75.

i dont mind the RX8 but i would never buy one. and if i was a 16/17 year old girl i wouldnt want one. especially if two others in my grade alone had them. for that much money id rather have an STI.
