I've never used a MAC, but people tell me they're great and don't get viruses.

Mac is pretty reliable and load stuff pretty fast too. Never had any blue screen or anything wrong with it. NEVER. For PC windows 95 and 98 kinda sux compare to Windows ME and XP. 95 and 98 freeze up too blue and i have problem with it often. ME and XP are also reliable and load pretty quick too. You dont get that much blue screen and problem with it. You do get sum problem with XP and me but RARELY you will get problem with ME or Xp unless you have spyware which is freaking annoying.

ME is actually one of the worst versions of Windows in history (yes, worse than 98, which was actually pretty solid). 2000 and XP are waaay better though; I have yet to see a blue screen on any computer running XP (I'm sure a Mac user could do it though... ). I agree that Macs are good computers as well, but they just aren't as flexible.

no.... 2000 pro and xp pro are the best... all though 2000 pro nt is a little more superior, while the xp pro is more network friendly.

Both Pc and Mac has its qualities for one thing Pc is much cheaper to upgrade when it get outdated or if you want more juice. Mac are expensive to upgrade and there are less componet for you to up grade. I will admit Mac is great with graphic software and program related to graphic things but for everyday use its not as nimble as pc. I remember one time online using Mac and it crash on me because i opened 5 programs. What up with burning a disc when it comes to using re writables I have to constatly erase the disk when i want to add more things to it and this was on G4. Lastley a dual 3200 1gig ram with hyper thread pent 4 will out perform a G5. By the way what up with the stupid mouse only one button. That said, i would still by A mac for what im doing animation.

Actually, G5's only really hold their own in video editing situations. Athlon 64-FX is the new king of the 3D animation realm... just check the benchmarks.
