RE: MAC vs. PC
PCs are way more cost effective now. You can get 64-bit for less than $200 in comparison to a really expensive G4 Macintosh. Sure, Macs provide more processing power but ONLY for certain types of work--power applications such as multimedia, graphics work, 3D, etc. PCs (Windows specifically) has greater compatibility while Macs are really limited.
Overall points (who wins):
Cheapness: PCs
Compatibility: PCs
Processing power: Macs
Processing power for price: PCs
Overall: PCs
Hands down.

You must be kidding me about compatibility..MAC's are much much much more compatable then a windows system. On terms of plugging stuff in,wireless, output devices. You just plug it into a mac and it works, no filling out **** of having **** not work like on a windows computer.

RE: MAC vs. PC
If we're talking software compatibility, Windows is way ahead of Mac. If you walk into a Best Buy, I'd say about 99% of the software in there is compatible with Windows, but only a few of them are for only Mac or both Mac and Windows.
