Low profile is good....
I've been driving my totally stock Civic sedan to work for a week now, and I have not been followed by a cop once.
In my previous car (red MINI Cooper S, white roof, lots o' rally stickers), I'd have a Crown Vic on my tail at least 2-3 times each week, because I have to traverse the local Radar Alley on my way to work.
It's refreshing having such a low profile.....
(Now for th Yokohama Avids, CAI, cat-back exhaust, springs, anti-sway bars....)

RE: Low profile is good....
^^^^ That reminds me of a story I heard when I was in high school. A Highway patrol was stationed on the side of the highway and every night his radar would flash 150mph but he didn't see anything. Turns out it was a souped up Nissan Maxima with flat black paint, black rims, running on infrared or nightvision, transporting drugs. Don't know if it's true or not but just a story I heard. Talk about low profile...

I like that flat black paint--mine's the shiny stock Honda black right now, with one strip of chrome above the grill and one on the trunk. A couple of questions:
1. What flat black paint did you use--Krylon or a body shop?
2. Any suggestions on how to de-bling my chrome accents?
3. Any suggestions on black wheels/rims?
Thanks!

i been driving the civic with bright red orange custom paint for over 6 months now and i havent gotten any tickets and cops dont really follow me either. and when there is one behind me i just turn off as soon as i can, wait a while and then get back on the road. and that flat black maxima story is pretty cool but what happens when there are street lights? o

I heard the smae thing about a simular Lambo running the highways in Florida running drugs.. I heard somewhere he got caught/wrecked.. not totally sure though.. one of those "urban legend" types of things.
