Looking to get a new civic this August!
#12
My wife and I just bought a 2012 Sedan LX and love it. Got it for a good amount off of msrp too. She drives 45 mins one way to work so the gas mileage was a huge factor with buying it.
I dont know where you live, but its actually cheaper here to buy a new 2012 then a used or new 2011.
I did see the DX at one dealer and dont know why they have it. The dash looked like a 2011, it had a huge black piece of plastic where the navigation system would normally go in the upper models, no radio, and I dont know if it had AC or not, but selling it in FL you would think it would have it. If not that car will sit there forever. It's the only dealer within 250 miles that has the DX too.
Sure the back end looks a lot like a Corolla and does seem a bit weird to me, but it doesnt bother me. I'm not so much into looks as to what the car can do. We're already getting 39-42 mpg avg. with the 2012.
If you want to save on gas and drive a lot go with a 2012. If you want it more for short distances and recreation then an older model might be better. It's all about personal preference though. Just get what you like and what appeals to you.
